We now have a new sign on our building in Marshall Place so we are easy to find.
Mike and I met in 2016, I was living here in Katikati and Mike lived in Hamilton. In September 2019 we opened Fire Up Sports, as we saw a need for a sports store in Katikati, especially fishing gear. As time has gone on we have realised there is another gap in the market and that is for Mobility Equipment. Through our relationship with Waihi Sports & Cycles, Bryan there, put us in contact with Dave from AMW (Auckland Mobility Warehouse) and here we are, Katikati Mobility, your one stop shop for all things to keep you active, outdoors, and living a good life without mobility restrictions. Both Mike and I fully understand the battles that can happen within families, when an aging parent, grandparent, or loved one, needs the use of a walking stick, mobility scooter, walker, wheelchair and the likes. I experienced it firsthand with my Dad and Mike is now, with his Mum. Their stubbornness, their denial, their sheer determination to stay young and refuse to use any of "those things"! We are here to help you on you that journey of change, we want to show them how life changing our equipment can be for them.
